About Coronavirus and Means of Battling the Disease

Back in the beginning of 2020, following the December 2019 outbreak in China, the World Health Organization has officially acknowledged SARS-CoV-2 as a new kind of coronavirus. The virus outbreak had swiftly spread around the globe afterwards and is a current threat to the population worldwide.

COVID-19 represents a sickness resulted from SARS-CoV-2, which can cause an infection inside the respiratory tract. This type of virus generally affects upper respiratory tract (i.e., nose, sinuses, throat) as well as lower respiratory tract (i.e., lungs, windpipe). It spreads in a similar manner to other types of coronaviruses, commonly via person-to-person contact. The severity of this infection generally ranges from mild to deadly.

We at King Pharmacy take all the necessary precautions and preventive measures in order to minimize our staff as well as clients exposure to potential COVID-19 virus. All the visits to patients by our specialists are conducted with full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including facemasks, face-shields, disposable gloves, disinfectant sprays, proper social distancing and, of course, complete vaccination. Besides that, all clients that visit our pharmacies are required to abide to all the protection rules listed above (wear face masks, face shields, maintain social distancing etc.) and display a QR code with a valid vaccination certificate. By doing so our pharmacy aims to reduce the new cases of infection with COVID-19 and keep our patients safe and healthy.
