Addyi (Flibanserin): Product Status and Availability
Addyi is the brand name for flibanserin, a U.S. prescription medicine marketed by Sprout Pharmaceuticals, Inc. The current FDA labeling identifies Addyi as a 100 mg film-coated tablet under NDA 022526.
Current FDA-labeled indication
The December 2025 label states that Addyi is indicated for women younger than 65 years with acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) that causes marked distress or interpersonal difficulty and is not due to a co-existing medical or psychiatric condition, relationship problems, or the effects of another medication or drug substance.
This is broader and more current than older website copy that described the product only in terms of premenopausal women. The label also states that Addyi is not indicated for men and is not indicated to enhance sexual performance.
Product identity
The current DailyMed record lists Sprout Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the packager. Addyi is supplied as a 100 mg pink, oval, film-coated tablet. It is a prescription product; publication of this page does not indicate that King Pharmacy currently stocks or dispenses it.
When comparing a listing with the FDA-labeled product, verify the brand name, active ingredient, strength, manufacturer or packager information, prescription status, and package labeling. Do not assume that a product described only as "flibanserin" is the same branded product without checking its label and regulatory record.
Price and availability questions
Current cost can depend on insurance coverage, deductible status, pharmacy pricing, and any manufacturer program for which a patient independently qualifies. Historical per-pill prices or supplier claims should not be used as current King Pharmacy pricing.
If the exact product matters, ask the dispensing pharmacy whether the prescription will be filled with Addyi and what the current cash or insurance-based cost would be. Availability can change, so it should be confirmed directly rather than inferred from an informational page.
Major safety limitations relevant to product research
Addyi carries a boxed warning about severe hypotension and syncope in certain settings. The current label highlights increased risk when alcohol is used close in time with Addyi. It also lists use with moderate or strong CYP3A4 inhibitors and use in patients with hepatic impairment as contraindicated settings because of the risk of severe hypotension and syncope.
Those limitations are important when evaluating whether a prescription can be used safely, but individual treatment decisions belong with the prescriber. The current Medication Guide and prescription label should be reviewed for the specific patient rather than relying on older online dosing or safety summaries.
